6 Days: Marangu Route Kilimanjaro Climb

Overview, Itinerary, Price, Includes & Excludes

6 days Marangu Route
Overview:

The Marangu Route, affectionately known as the "Coca-Cola Route", is one of the oldest, most established, and most popular trekking routes on Mount Kilimanjaro. It is the only route that offers hut accommodations instead of tents, making it a more comfortable option for climbers who prefer solid shelter, foam mattresses, and shared facilities over camping.
Marangu is widely considered the easiest route in terms of trail gradient, thanks to its gentler slopes and direct path to the summit. However, its shorter itinerary and rapid elevation gain present a real challenge in terms of altitude acclimatization, which is why proper preparation and a good fitness level are still essential.
Over the course of 6 days, climbers travel through Kilimanjaro’s five distinct climate zones, from the rich rainforests at the base to the stark, icy summit zone at Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,341 ft) — the highest point in Africa.
